SCGP has encouraged employees to effectively respond to consumer needs by extensively adopting technology to create innovative products, services, business models and packaging solutions through the project &ldquo;The Inspiring Innovation.&rdquo; It is a platform that opens for employees&rsquo; new ideas and helps expand their knowledge, allowing them to take actions and develop innovations to truly meet customer needs and increasing the opportunity to provide new solutions for the business.

 
The Inspiring Innovation 2022, Everyone Everywhere Project has been held for three consecutive years. This year, more than 480 employees from all business sectors both in Thailand and abroad participates in presenting a total of 80 pieces of work, divided into 3 categories: Product, Process, and Business Model and Service. After the selection by experts, SCGP finds 23 innovations that can be further developed in the Incubation Program where the employees can improve the thinking processes, enhance knowledge and sharpen skills for more work efficiency. These works have the potential to be commercialized; for instance, the improvement of packaging design solutions by incorporating Upcycling so that products can be transformed into new useful items such as recreating toys that can help family engagement, or changing boxes into household storage shelves. This added value makes a difference to the general products in the market and is beneficial in marketing. They are the trend-setter in environmentally friendly- products that helps increase sales and profits.

 
Another example is the development of High Extensible Sack Kraft 95 gsm paper by using up to 30% of recycled fiber in paper forming, replacing imported paper that is made from 100% Virgin pulp, but still maintaining the quality. The product is in line with ESG framework and meets the customers&rsquo; needs for sustainable supply of paper. The development of the Artwork Process Automation program to upgrade the artwork making process into Automation Process is also one of the selected works.

Agenda 6:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To consider and approve the remuneration of the Company&#39;s Directors and Sub-committee members for the year 2023

Board of Directors&#39; opinion:&nbsp; requests the Meeting to approve the retention of the remuneration of the Directors and Sub-committee members for the year 2023 pursuant to the rules and rates previously approved by the Meeting of Shareholders as recommended by the Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee.

Agenda 7:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To consider and approve the amendments to the Company&rsquo;s Articles of Association

Board of Directors&#39; opinion:&nbsp; requests the Meeting to approve the amendments to the Company&rsquo;s Articles of Association, Clauses 8, 21, 25, 29, 36, 39 and 42, to comply with the Public Limited Company Act B.E. 2535 (and its amendments) as recommended by the Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee. &nbsp;

Shareholders who wish to attend the meeting by themselves or proxies are requested to wear a face mask all the time and test with Antigen Test Kit (ATK) before attending the Shareholders meeting if they may encounter with signs of PUI (Patients Under Investigation) or suspected infection of the following symptoms such as a body temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius and over, or cough, runny nose, sore throat, sneezing, headache, loss of sense of smell or taste, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, rash on skin, rapid breathing, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing.

In this regard, shareholders are encouraged to submit questions in advance to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders by Tuesday, March 21, 2023, via channels provided (please use the Form for submission of questions in advance provided herewith as Attachment No. 8). Questions will then be gathered, and only those directly related to the agenda items where voting is involved will be addressed during the meeting. The shareholders or proxies attending the Meeting are requested to submit their questions in writing and only those directly related to the agenda items where voting is involved will be addressed during the meeting. The remaining questions and suggestions will be summarized and attached to the minutes of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, which will be disclosed on the SET Portal and published on the Company&rsquo;s website within 14 days of the date of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

SCGP has built a reputation on the global and Asian packaging design stage by supporting our designers until they won 5 quality awards from their packaging design that showed creativity, beauty, convenience, value-adding, versatility and helped promoting sales, and environmentally-friendly use in the &#39;WORLD STAR AWARDS 2023&#39; and &#39;ASIASTAR 2022 AWARDS&#39;.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

SCG Packaging Public Company Limited or SCGP has been successful in packaging design in the international and Asia stage because of the determination to develop packaging that truly meets customer &nbsp;needs, &nbsp;has beautiful patterns and designs, attracts consumers and helps promote product sales. Recently, designers from Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd. in SCGP have won a total of 5 awards from the WORLD STAR AWARDS 2023 held &nbsp;by the World Packaging Organization (WPO). This year, a total of 440 entries in 16 categories from 37 countries were submitted to the competition. The team of designers also received awards from ASIASTAR 2022 AWARDS organized by the ASIAN PACKAGING FEDERATION.

&nbsp;

In WORLD STAR AWARDS 2023, SCGP designers won two awards. The first one is &ldquo;the Winning Award in the Luxury Package category&rdquo; from the &nbsp;Moon Cake box &ldquo;Looking Through the Moon&rdquo; by Tavita Ratanaya and Suchanat Chidthai who designed a 4- piece box set for mooncakes. The outstanding feature is a mechanism to rotate the image of the moon on the front of the box which implies the passing of time and a family reunion. The adding of Chinese auspicious characters means the delivery of good things to recipients. In addition, the box set is good value for money and environmentally- friendly because it can be re-packaged and reused. The second one is &ldquo;the Winning Award in Point of Sale (a product stand) category&rdquo; from &ldquo;Point of Purchase&rdquo; by team of designers that included Rinrada Anuwatmongkol, Pathitta Sirirerkratana, Phaninthorn Ruangwaeomanee and &nbsp;Pasa Juichum from Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd. They designed a product stand made of paper &nbsp;for 3M. It is lightweight, &nbsp;easy to assemble without using glue, and packed in a compact packaging that does not use a lot of space. The design was inspired by the geometric shapes of school buildings and school buses. This product stand is used at the point of sale to persuade children and families to shop stationery. In addition, the stand is designed to enable products to &nbsp;be seen in 360 degrees, opening for more visibility and providing more shelf space than general product stand.

In &ldquo;ASIASTAR 2022 AWARDS&rdquo;, we received three quality awards. The first group is the two Winning Awards in the Gift Package category; the first award is &ldquo;The Art of Hand Crafted&rdquo; by Tavita Ratanaya who designed a gift basket that can be used as a storage box for small items. The inspiration of the design came from a regular box and a pattern of applied Thai silk. The body is made of E-flute corrugated containers, produced by a digital printing system. The handle is a gold ribbon with elegant graphic design, strong enough to bear a lot of weight; the second one is &ldquo;The Lucky Fortune Gift Set&rdquo; by Kritchaporn Kulrattanarak and Suriya Pimcoat who designed a gift set box for soap and fortune cookies. The structure of the box is compact, using the tassel strap extending from the box to facilitate carrying. The box comes with cushioning parts which can contain 4 different shaped soaps. The box itself can be hung for decoration. The last award is the Winning Award in the Transport Package category (packaging for transportation) from the entry called &ldquo;Ready to Share &ndash; Ready to Show&rdquo; by Thanaporn Worawas and Kritchaporn Kulrattanarak who incorporated three factors: transportation system, retail, and outstanding display into the design. The box is stackable and suitable for transportation. A perforation is added so that the box can be easily torn to show products inside, making it more convenient for shoppers. The Pop-Up mechanism combined with the design increases the outstandingness of the products on the shelf. The designer also took the cost-effective use of paper into consideration and came up with this environmentally-friendly packaging.

<h4>SCGP continues to turbocharge the integrated packaging solutions business in ASEAN to resonate with ascending needs of customers for packaging that prioritizes convenience. In this, SCGP has achieved recent expansion through the acquisition of flexible packaging assets from Cyberprint Group Co., Ltd. (Cyber), to bolster production capacity, enlarge the customer network, strengthen raw material management, and continuously improve the company&#39;s capability to offer high-quality packaging solutions.</h4>

<h4>Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited or SCGP, revealed that SCGP has expanded its business through the acquisition of flexible packaging assets from Cyberprint Group Co., Ltd. (Cyber), a multi-type printing and packaging service provider in Thailand, with a total investment of Baht 450 million. The sum includes the investments in assets such as machinery and equipment, building, land and remaining inventory, along with the investment budget for future capacity expansion and the related working capital. This asset acquisition by Prepack will be solely for flexible packaging-related assets. Cyber will continue to independently operate its other businesses going forward.</h4>

<h4>The business expansion was achieved through Prepack Thailand Co., Ltd. (Prepack) under SCGP, a high-quality flexible packaging manufacturer. The Company&#39;s packaging solution is accredited with ISCC Plus (the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) for an organization that practices carbon management and sustainable development of overall supply-chain. Currently, Prepack has 3 production bases in Thailand. Its head office is located at the Sinsakhon Industrial Estate, Samut Sakhon.</h4>

<h4>This investment will lead to a 12% increase in SCGP&#39;s flexible packaging production capacity in Thailand. Half of the additional capacity would be from Cyber&#39;s existing flexible packaging facility, located near Prepack in Sinsakhon Industrial Estate, which will be integrated into Prepack in the 1st quarter of 2023. Another half will be from new capacity expansion project in the same compound with expected commercial start-up in the 4th quarter of 2023. As a result of this investment, SCGP will be able to enhance customer network in several segments, particularly packaging customers in the pet food and health supplement product who are Cyber&#39;s existing customers. This project would positively result in intensifying the efficiency of cost management caused by co-sourcing of raw materials and improvement in economics of scale while also strengthening the Company&#39;s capability to offer high-quality packaging solutions.

<h4>Ho Chi Minh City, Oct 22nd 2022 - The Final Round of &lsquo;SCGP Packaging Speak Out 2022 - Vietnam&rsquo; competition was hosted by SCGP at HCM Youth Culture House. Under the theme of &lsquo;Rethink for better normal&rsquo;, the competition in its second year called for breakthrough ideas from young students to re-define the &ldquo;new normal&rdquo; in two categories &lsquo;Easy to recycle&rsquo; and &lsquo;Upcycle&rsquo;. Amongst the 11 finalists, team QIN from Van Lang University was named the winner with their unique idea of Mooncake packaging design. Team Magic Cat from HCM University of Technology &amp; Education became the runner-up with the creative idea l of Jelly Zoo packaging.</h4>

<h4>As an idea-crowdsourcing contest, SCGP Packaging Speak Out 2022 - Vietnam successfully delivered a playground that inspires the young generation to &lsquo;Speak Out&rsquo; their voices in imagining, shaping and curating a better world. The final event welcomed hundreds of audiences, both offline and online via SCG Vietnam fan page. Hosting this program is a part of SCGP&rsquo;s continuous efforts to promote sustainability where it operates, aligning with the corporate strategy of circular economy and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance).&nbsp;</h4>

Organizing SCGP Packaging Speak Out 2022 in Vietnam for the second consecutive year is part of our initiatives to encourage young people to show their creativity and provide a platform where their potential in design can shine through. SCGP believes that the future belongs to this young generation, of which the members are going to build and create tomorrow&rsquo;s society. This is why we named the project &lsquo;SCGP Packaging Speak Out 2022&rsquo; to let them speak out and change the world through their packaging designs.&rdquo;</h4>

<h4>Being one of the most affluent figures in the packaging industry in Thailand, Asst. Prof. Ake Pattaratanakun, Ph.D. (Cantab), Head of Marketing Department Chulalongkorn Business School and Chairman of Executive Committee of Thailand Post shared about the five &ldquo;C&rdquo; factors in a sustainable packaging design. Those include Creativity, Creation - Easy to produce, Customer Centricity, Cost and Community. As the judge for the contest, he highly evaluates the fresh ideas showcased by the Vietnamese audience at the final round.&nbsp;</h4>

<h4> 
Accordingly, two highest-evaluated proposals successfully showcased their innovative and original ideas, skillful execution, as well as appealing presentations. In particular, the winning design from team QIN explored the challenge of upgrading the packaging from understanding the needs of consumers, turning the familiar Mooncake box into handy lanterns that can be used as the traditional toys during Mid-Autumn Festival, and some parts can be used as eating utensils or stationary afterward. Meanwhile, team Magic Cat aimed to tackle the issues of packaging waste by taking advantage of the jelly box after use into a set of creative games for children. They are both notable issues for customers and packaging manufacturers.</h4>

<h4>A representative of the winning team QIN, shared: &ldquo;We are surprised and truly honored to be awarded the highest prize. At the beginning, our team joined this competition seeking more a playground for creativity, rather than a race for merit. However, this competition turned out much more fruitful than we expected, as we can learn a lot from design experts as well as our fellow competitors. Nowadays, our young generation cares a lot about environmental issues and climate change, and we truly appreciate great opportunities like this to spread out the message of protecting the Earth.&rdquo;</h4>

<h4>Mr. Tran Quang Tung (Tung Juno), CEO/ Creative Director at RIO Creative Vietnam, one of the jurors since the first competition last year, enjoyed grading this year&rsquo;s &nbsp;ideas: &ldquo;Competition like &lsquo;SCGP Packaging Speak Out 2022 - Vietnam&rsquo; is a great platform for young Vietnamese designers to showcase their talents and contribute ideas for changes in the industries and communities. The finalists this year gave me a pleasant headache for their quality of work. They have designed very ingeniously and methodically. With this year&#39;s design question, all the teams had to explore consumers&rsquo; insights, understand emerging needs in the market and strategically drive their ideas to solve the customers&#39; demand. And similar to the previous year, local culture inspirations are cleverly employed.&rdquo;</h4>

<h4>&lsquo;SCGP Packaging Speak Out 2022 - Vietnam&rsquo; has become a local think-tank for packaging design. Besides the 2 winning entries, other finalists also offer practical suggestions to shift the industry toward a more circular approach. Future designers also prioritize the use of environmentally friendly paper and ink materials to increase sustainability. This is a step forwards in improving user experience and optimizing production resources. <h4>SCGP has been continuously expanding its investment in the packaging materials recycling business in response to the surge in market demand for sustainable packaging as part of the evolving consumer trends. This has led to the signing of share purchase agreement along with the completion of merger and partnership (M&amp;P) for a stake in &ldquo;Jordan Trading Inc. (Jordan)&rdquo;, a trader of recovered paper (RCP) based in New York, the USA. The acquisition enables the Company to attain an additional 100,000 tons per year of recovered paper sourcing capacity, and enhances operational potential through the partnership with &ldquo;Peute&rdquo;, the Netherlands&rsquo; largest packaging material recycling company while being able to exchange knowledge to strengthen the efficiency of the recycling operations.</h4>

<h4>Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP,&nbsp;announced that the increasing trend in the demand for sustainable packaging has motivated SCGP to continuously expand its investment in the packaging materials recycling business to fulfill such demands and enhance the Company&rsquo;s packaging business operation at all levels, from diversified raw materials sources, the upstream and downstream production through the integrated packaging solutions. Thus, the Company recently acquired a 90.1% stake in Jordan Trading Inc.(Jordan), a trader of RCP based in New York, the USA. This transaction is made through a newly set-up, wholly-owned, Thai subsidiary of SCGP. Payment for the 90.1% stake is the immediate US$1.98 million (approximately THB 73 million). The remaining 9.9% stake in Jordan will be held by SCG International USA Inc. (or &ldquo;SCG INTL US&rdquo;), which is a subsidiary of The Siam Cement Public Company Limited. The consolidation of Jordan&rsquo;s financial performance will be from September 2022 onward.</h4>

<h4>Jordan is an established RCP trader with over 34 years of experience. The Company poses a sourcing network that largely spans the Mid to East coast of the USA, the largest exporting country of high-quality RCP, with annual sourcing capacity is 0.1 million tons of recovered paper per year with logistics management system that cover both inland transportation and sea freight. In 2021, Jordan recorded revenue of US$15.5 million (approximately THB 568 million), profit of US$0.1 million (approximately THB 4 million) with assets of US$3.2 million (approximately THB 117 million) at the end of the year. </h4>

<h4>The latest investment marks an ongoing investment in the expansion of its packaging materials recycling business through merger &amp; partnership following the latest disclosure in July when the Company entered into a 100-percent stake in Peute Recycling B.V., the Netherlands&rsquo; largest packaging materials recycling and trading company of paper and plastic. This transaction is part of SCGP&rsquo;s medium-term strategic objectives to enhance the capability of its packaging materials recycling business and strengthen the Company&rsquo;s integrated packaging business. Moreover, the synergy between Jordan and Peute will enhance SCGP&rsquo;s sourcing capabilities and international network of recovered materials. The investment in Jordan would also augment the company with direct access to the source of high-quality American Old Corrugated Containers (&ldquo;AOCC&rdquo;) which is key raw material that adds premium strength to packaging paper and fiber packaging production.</h4>

<h4>&ldquo;SCGP is confident that this business synergy will enable company to exchange best practices and knowledge among SCGP&rsquo;s distinguished ASEAN recycling network, Peute&rsquo;s leading waste management model in Europe and Jordan&rsquo;s efficient recycling operation in the USA with the aim to further strengthen the Company&rsquo;s overall operational capability.&rdquo; Mr. Wichan added.</h4>

The inspiration is derived from the concept of the infinite growth of the business, community, society, and the world.</h4>

<h4>Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, or SCGP, revealed that SCGP has drawn up a vision to transform the Company into &ldquo;Multinational Consumer Packaging Solutions Provider&rdquo; while putting in place a business plan to create growth with quality and sustainability. <h4>SCGP strategically moved into the rapidly-growing packaging materials recycling business via the acquisition of 100% stake in Peute, the Netherlands&rsquo; largest independent packaging materials recycling and trading company. The acquisition enables the Company to attain an additional one million tons per year of recovered paper and strengthens its integrated packaging business, from sources of raw materials, upstream and downstream production through to integrated packaging solutions, while also augments the ability to fulfil consumers&rsquo; needs for sustainable packaging and enhances the efficiency of recycling operations in ASEAN with leading technologies.</h4>

<h4>Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP, announced that SCGP has completed the transaction to acquire 100% stake in Peute Recycling B.V. (Peute), the largest packaging materials recycling company covering both recovered paper and plastic in the Netherlands. Payment for the 100% stake is the immediate 78.19 million Euro (approximately 2,875 million Baht). This purchase is through SCGP Solutions (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of SCGP. Peute&rsquo;s financial performance will be consolidated from July 2022 onward. The acquisition is an important pillar of the Company&rsquo;s long-term strategy to strengthen all levels of packaging business from raw material sources, upstream and downstream production through to the integrated packaging solutions. It also represents another crucial milestone in the Company&rsquo;s merger and partnership (M&amp;P) plan.</h4>

<h4>Peute is the largest independent packaging materials recycling and trading company of paper and plastic in the Netherlands with a strong relationship with customers for over 60 years. With solid operation and ability to continue business growth amid economic challenges in Europe, the Company recorded a revenue of 249 million Euro (approx. 9,160 million Baht) in 2021 with a profit of 3.2 million Euro (approx. 120 million Baht) and assets of 52 million Euro (approx. 1,930 million Baht) at the end of last year. Peute currently poses the ability to competitively source 1.0 million tons per year of recovered paper (RCP) and 0.1 million tons per year of recovered plastics at their facility in Dordrecht with ongoing project to relocate the facility to Alblasserdam, nearby Rotterdam port, to double the sourcing capacity and improve cost management efficiency. &nbsp; &nbsp; Recently, SCGP and THINKK Studio hold a Design Talks webinar called &quot;TRANSFORMATION&quot; Waste to Value on July 23, 2022, to address the commitment to excellence in business under the concept of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and Circular Economy. SCGP always concentrates on natural resource reduction, the use of biodegradable materials, and the reuse of resources.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Upcycle is one of SCGP concept that waste materials are recycled through a design and innovation process to prolong the material life cycle and create new products which are both distinctive and value-added. 

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; To represent the reinforcement of the community enterprise development projects, SCGP held a workshop in which the community enterprises in the field of handicrafts and students of design and materials science can share new ideas and create an invention from SCGP&#39;s waste materials. Moreover, THINKK Studio, a Thai design studio, came to support them in the design thinking process and waste development.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Mr. Decha Archjananun, Creative Director and Co-Founder of THINKK Studio, told about the studio&#39;s diverse work from interior design, and furniture design to the experiment with a variety of materials. It, therefore, became a source of interest in the value-added of natural wasted.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; For example, &#39;City Materials&#39; project that the team created a new invention by selecting 6 waste materials in Bangkok including plastic bags, coffee grounds, construction waste, incense sticks, government lottery paper, and scrap wood from cutting branches. 

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &#39;DEWA &amp; DEWI 2021&#39;, was the idea to create furniture such as student desk sets by using waste materials from entrepreneurs in the industry and agriculture. The design was considered by prolongation and cost-effectiveness of using natural resources.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; At the recent &quot;TRANSFORMATION&quot; Waste to Value workshop, Ms. Jarawee Thongboonruang, Project Coordinator, Mr. Phattharakorn Maneesilawong and Ms. Satita Saengsawat, Junior Furniture and Product Designer of THINKK Studio, shared the process of thinking, experiment and design on the transformation of 4 types of scrap materials as SCGP provided including Paper Bands, recycled plastic ropes from the blowing process of plastic bottles, plastic straws, and crushed recycled plastic.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; The designers started by investigating the different properties of materials such as the Paper Band and recycled plastic ropes, which are suitable for forming by weaving and polishing in Thai handicraft styles. The cylindrical plastic tube was proper for a comfortable grip. Crushed plastic was supposed to be melted into a template and formed like a plate with a durable surface.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Ultimately, THINKK Studio formed 6 products from waste materials with different properties that we could use in our daily life: vase, lamp, handbag, tray, fan and tote bag. All participants in this workshop followed the instruction for these experiments afterward.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; The workshop generated more engagement among the community enterprises and students to let them bring the waste plastic bags to the heating process until they come out in thin sheets. These sheets became decorations with colourful and unique designs.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Mr. Decha stated that the value added of waste materials began at the elementary level for individuals, such as using simple handicraft skills to make waste or household waste last longer. From the individual level extended to the community level where waste disposal and collection, waste processing must be considered.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Furthermore, waste development at the industrial level has required collaboration with a network of the private sectors, government and research agencies because the significant thing is how to redesign waste material as effective as a new design and conform to the consumer lifestyle.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Reviving the waste material through value-added may depend on the attitude and creativity of designers to foresee the result and determine how the product will be enhanced throughout the process of thought, touch and experiment with the possibilities of invention without any limitations.

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; As THINKK Studio experimented with SCGP waste materials in this workshop which is more successful since we received many good feedbacks from participants. It is such a place providing opportunities to share creative perspectives and skills among students and community enterprises, who specialize in exquisite craftsmanship as the original capital. 

&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Lastly, it assured that all parties were inspired to develop their inventions. Upcycling notion should not manifest as a temporary trend but it is the key variable that will drive the future direction of product design with environment concerns.

<h4>The Department of Primary Industries and Mines is one of the seven agencies under the Ministry of Industry that joins the project called &ldquo;80 Years of Ministry of Industry, 8,000 Kilograms of Recycling and Returning to The Society&rdquo; a cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and SCGP that aims to raise awareness of waste paper separation and promote Circular Economy principles. As of May 31, 2022, the project has collected a total of 6,997 kilograms of used paper, almost reaching a target of 8,000 kilograms in July 2022. The total amount of paper collected by SCGP will be recycled, made into new products, and given to the Ministry of Industry for public use. The distribution will be conducted through the Ministry of Industry Volunteer Project.</h4>

<h4>SCGP reveals plan to expand production capacity under its Fiber Packaging Business with additional 75,000 tons per year capacity. The project size is valued at the THB2,450 million and is expected for commercial start-up in the middle of 2023. Latest available automation technology and printing application are utilized to advance capabilities and meet growing demands for corrugated carton as the economy recovered. This investment is part of the efforts to strengthen SCGP&rsquo;s leadership position in ASEAN.</h4>

<h4>Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP, reports that, in its continued drive to expand, the Company has recently invested to raise production capacity of its high-quality corrugated carton and sheet board with additional 75,000 tons per year. This latest investment is intended to level up SCGP&rsquo;s capabilities to deliver packaging solutions to the growing demands along with the continued economic recovery. This investment would enhance our consumer-linked customer network and the synergies from integration with upstream Packaging Paper Business.</h4>

<h4>The investment is through Thai Containers Group Company Limited (TCG), a 70:30 joint venture between SCGP and Rengo Company Limited, Japan. The THB2,450 million investment budgets will go toward machinery, installation, and working capital. The commercial start-up is expected in mid-2023.</h4>

<h4>SCGP is confident that the latest investment will enable the Company to maximize its assets utilization and enhance production capabilities with the latest available technologies, including robotics, automation and printing applications. In addition, the Company would be able to improve logistics cost competitiveness and supply chain efficiency as the expanded capacities will be located in existing facilities of TCG and its subsidiaries in Samutprakarn and Samutsakorn, which are clustering with fast-growing customer segments.</h4>

<h4>SCGP has assessed the demand for corrugated carton in Thailand to be on an up-trend, driven by the increased use of packaging relating to consumer related segments, including food and beverages, frozen and processed foods for export, consumers goods, and hygiene products. In addition, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) continues to climb and drive exports under the government&rsquo;s investment promotion policy as well as the economic recovery contributing to the growth of the packaging industry.</h4>

<h4>SCGP achieved impressive growth in 2021 with sales revenues of Baht 124,223 million, up by 34% from the previous year, and profit of Baht 8,294 million, up by 28% from the previous year. This is a result of portfolio expansion to meet diversed demand of packaging products along with sustained investment in accordance with SCGP&rsquo;s strategic plans. The year 2022 will see continuous growth with revenue target of Baht 140,000 million and investment budget of over Baht 100,000 million in the next 5 years.</h4>

<h4>Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP, announces that the Company has achieved sustained growth as reflected in 2021 overall performance with Baht 124,223 million of sales revenues, an increase of 34% from the previous year, and Baht 8,294 million of profit, an increase of 28% from the previous year. Meanwhile, EBITDA stood at Baht 21,150 million, an increase of 25% from the previous year.</h4>

<h4>SCGP has managed to achieve a steady growth in 2021 amid many economic challenges including worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent viral mutations, supply chain disruption, container shortage, and rising freight rates. Yet, SCGP&rsquo;s growth was resulted from effective business model focusing on providing packaging solutions, developing innovative products, and expanding product range to respond to diversed demand for packaging products in consumers&rsquo; daily life. Moreover, the Company has grown from business expansion through organic expansions and merger and partnership (M&amp;P) deals as well as &nbsp;with effective management to response to different situations.</h4>

<h4>Since being listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) in October 2020, SCGP has been investing in ASEAN and other regions with total investment budget of Baht 40,000 million. The investment has been made in 12 projects in terms of M&amp;P deals as well as production capacity expansion. Out of 12 projects, 9 projects have been completed &nbsp;while the remaining 3 projects are on-going, including: (1) capacity expansion of packaging paper production of United Pulp and Paper Co., Inc. (UPPC) in the Philippines by 220,000 tons per year which is expected to be completed in the 1st quarter of 2022; (2) capacity expansion of foodservice products in Thailand and Vietnam by 1,838 million pieces per year which is expected to be completed in the 2nd quarter of 2022; and (3) construction of new packaging paper production facility in the north of Vietnam under Vina Kraft Paper Company Limited (VKPC) with total capacity of 370,000 million tons per year &nbsp;which is expected to be completed in 2024.</h4>

<h4>In a similar manner, growth in the 4th quarter of 2021 was as strong as the same period of the year before. Revenue &nbsp;went up to Baht 35,145 million, increasing by 49% from the same period the previous &nbsp;year and profit advanced to Baht 2,115 million, up by 42% from the previous year with EBITDA of Baht 5,409 million, increasing by 28% from the same period of the previous year. This was a result of increased demand for packaging in the food and beverages sector, consumer goods sector, and foodservice sector, especially during the year-end festive season. Sales growth also benefited from economic stimulus measures which were implemented in several countries along with the performance consolidation from M&amp;P companies, Go-Pak, Duy Tan, Intan Group, and Deltalab.</h4>

<h4>Meanwhile, packaging demand during the 4th quarter of 2021 in ASEAN countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia has risen from the previous quarter as demand in the food and beverages and consumer goods sectors have recovered following economic recovery in many countries as COVID-19 restriction measures were relaxed. This is particularly true in Vietnam where manufacturing industries and supply chains have rebounded to near normalcy while pulp price has dropped from major importing countries.</h4>

<h4>In consideration of the FY2021 financial performance, the Board of Directors has proposed for shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), a full year 2021 annual dividend payment of 0.65 Baht per share, of which 0.25 Bt/share was previously paid as an interim dividend on 25 August 2021. The final dividend payment of 0.40 Bt/share is on 25 April 2022, record date of 7 April 2022, and XD-date of 5 April 2022.</h4>

<h4>Mr. Wichan said that the economic and consumption trends in 2022 are expected to recovered gradually due to more relaxed COVID-19 restrictions while heightened freight rates remain. However, inflation will continue to put pressure on production and consumption. Still, SCGP is determined to achieve sustained growth and has planned to increase sales to reach Baht 140,000 million with full-year revenue recognition from completed M&amp;P deals and from capacity expansion that will be completed this year. Furthermore, the Company has stipulated a 5-year investment plan amounting to over Baht 100,000 million for expansion in ASEAN, which is SCGP&rsquo;s primary strategic area, while keeping an eye on competent investment opportunities in other regions.</h4>

<h4>The CEO added that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles provide an important framework to strengthen SCGP&rsquo;s operation. In 2021, SCGP was selected as one of the Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI) companies by the SET, was chosen for the Rising Star Sustainability Awards by the SET Awards 2021, and was rated a Gold Medal by the EcoVadis Sustainability Ratings. In addition, to elevate its ESG policy, the Company has set a target to achieve Net Zero in 2050.</h4>

15 December 2021 &ndash; Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), a leading venue organiser in Thailand and Southeast Asia, partners with SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP) to launch the &ldquo;We Draw the New World Together&rdquo; campaign. The campaign&rsquo;s goal is to promote environmental conservation by maximizing the usage of environmentally friendly products and waste materials from the events at BITEC in accordance with the Circular Economy. 1. Recyclable Exhibition: Starting today, a free exhibition of new decorating concepts and exhibitions of paper art will be held at various locations throughout BITEC. 
2. BITEC Exhibition Supplier:&nbsp;SCGP, which delivers environmentally friendly solutions to organizers and exhibitors, collaborates with BITEC to provide services. This involves the design, manufacture, installation of decorative equipment and paper-made furniture for display booths with media at the point of sale. Users of this service will receive a carbon reduction report, installation services and the possibility to return to SCGP&rsquo;s recycling operations and Upcycling into a souvenir or display for the next event. 
3. Packaging Sustainability: A collaboration with About Food, a BITEC food and beverage provider, to replace plastic tubes with environmentally friendly food packaging and paper. The effort aims to reduce the use of single-use disposable plastic straws by up to 125,000 pieces per month, while increasing the use of ecologically friendly paper boxes for Snack Boxes by up to 65,000 pieces by 2022. 
4. Recycle Campaign: As part of the collaborative campaign with About Food and SAMA, staff, organizers, exhibitors and visitors are encouraged to contribute to the project by giving crate boxes, general paper, copier paper, PET plastic water bottles and plastic bottle caps. The campaign will incorporate leftovers into the reuse process and educate consumers on proper package usage and waste materials handling at the source. Moreover, the BITEC x SCGP Carbon Footprint Performance event is intended to demonstrate the overall quantity of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas reduction generated by the MICE sector and the manufacturing of upcycling items from recycling programmes for BITEC&#39;s international customers.

To be comprehensive, the partnership between BITEC and SCGP in the &quot;We Draw the New World Together&quot; project, under the circular economy concept, requires engagement from all sectors, including government, business, and civil society. In addition to innovation and durable product design, waste materials management is a crucial element. Revenue recognition begins this December.</h4>

<h4>Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP, reveals that the company&rsquo;s strategic expansion of integrated customer services aims at a business expansion plan to meet consumers&rsquo; diverse needs, particularly those involving healthcare and medical. This is in response to growing trends of healthcare as countries around the globe are entering an aging society. The trends can be seen in the 2019 total market value of healthcare and medical products in Europe of US$26 billion (approx. 810 billion Baht) and in Asia Pacific of US$48 billion (approx. 1.5 trillion Baht) with an expected annual growth rate of between 7% and 9% (Reference: LEK Consulting, 2019-2024F).</h4>

<h4>Most recently, SCGP has successfully acquired 85% of shares in Deltalab, S.L. (Deltalab), a registered company in Spain with expertise in the manufacture and distribution of medical supplies and labware. The investment of 84.9 million Euro (3,270 million Baht) was made through International Healthcare Packaging Co., Ltd., an SCGP&rsquo;s wholly-owned company. Revenue recognition in the company&rsquo;s financial statement begins from December 2021 onward.</h4>

<h4>Deltalab has more than 15,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) and an annual output of 250 million pieces, much of which are exported to 125 countries around the globe. Its products range from liquid containers and tubes for vacuum system, traceable blood collection tube sets for hematology, microtubes and flexible plates for real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests as well as various types of pipettes for liquid handling and swab test sets, etc.</h4>

<h4>For the 12-month period from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021, Deltalab generated 84.3 million Euro (approx. 3,245 million Baht) in revenues and 19.3 million Euro (approx. 740 million Baht) in after-tax profits. Its assets are valued at 44.7 million Euro (approx. 1,720 million Baht).</h4>

<h4>&ldquo;The present investment in Deltalab will further expand our customer base in Europe, Asia Pacific as well as other regions. It will make SCGP&rsquo;s product portfolio more diverse by building on our expertise in the manufacture and distribution of packaging products in an integrated manner. It will enhance our ability to provide services at the global level, and&nbsp;synergize our businesses through exchanges of experience and knowledge to jointly develop new products and expand new markets.&rdquo; Mr. Wichan says.</h4>

<h4>In 2021, SCGP has worked assiduously to strengthen growth in accordance with its organic growth expansion plan and Merger and Partnership strategy. <h4 style="text-align:justify">The increase in sales stems from a greater and steady demand for packaging products among industries relating to needs of daily life; including frozen food, canned food and fruit, ready meals, beverages, health products, and household products as well as recovery of export markets in the US, Europe and other regions which also contributes to the growth of packaging use. The Company, meanwhile, continues to advance on development of innovations to create greater product diversification in order to cater customers&rsquo; needs. New technologies have also been entrenched in production process to ensure the Company&rsquo;s competitiveness.</h4>

<h4 style="text-align:justify">Furthermore, SCGP has boosted investment in ASEAN in accordance with its strategic plan, which has seen during the first 9 months, through the closure of 3 merger and partnership (M&amp;P) deals. Additional deals in the process, which are expected to be completed in the 4th quarter of 2021, include acquisition of shares in a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality Medical Supplies and Labware in Spain. The Company has also unveiled organic growth with an investment of Baht 11,793 million for building new production base in the North of Vietnam and studying opportunities for entering the South of China market combined.</h4>

<h4 style="text-align:justify">Mr. Wichan adds that ASEAN expects to see a rise in packaging demands during this year&rsquo;s last quarter due to a rapid surge in purchasing power and reform of consumer confidence, aligning with improvement in industrial production efficiency throughout the supply chain. However, the situation with current energy prices impacting the overall global economy must be closely monitored.</h4>

SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP), a leading regional packaging solutions provider aiming to propel sustainable operations, recently sealed long-term support of its first 4-year Sustainability-Linked Loan (SLL) worth a total of THB 5 billion, with Krungsri. Because of its experience and expertise in sustainability-linked financial products, Krungsri has been appointed as sustainability coordinator aside from acting as the sole lender of this loan. The structure of interest rates for SLL is associated with the Sustainability Performance Targets (SPTs), where the Bank will adjust down the interest rate annually if the company can achieve the specified sustainability goals.

<h4 style="text-align:justify">SCGP is moving ahead with an expansion plan to create a new production complex in the north of Vietnam and establish a packaging paper production base within the complex with a total investment of over 11,793 million baht. Commercial start-up is expected early 2024, to integrate SCGP&rsquo;s operations in Vietnam and meet challenges of the steadily growing packaging market.</h4>

<h4 style="text-align:justify">Mr.Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP says:&ldquo;SCGP has launched a growth strategy in ASEAN, especially in Vietnam with its high growth potential.Since 2009 we have launched a strategic investment plan there by establishing packaging paper production based in the south of Vietnam through Vina Kraft Paper Company Limited (VKPC).Based in Bin Duong, the gateway to Ho Chi Minh City, the company is a 70:30 joint venture between SCGP and Rengo Company Limited (Japan).In 2016, VKPC doubled its original capacity in response to growing demands for packaging products in the region.&rdquo;</h4>

The total investment amounts to 8,133 billion VND (approximately 11,793 million baht) inclusive of the project&rsquo;s machinery, civil work, land, financial cost, working capital of state-of-the-art packaging paper production technology and infrastructures. The investment is currentlyunder Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. We expect the plan to be completed and commercial production to begin in early 2024, and result in VKPC&rsquo;s total packaging paper capacity of 870,000 tons per annum which will complement our expansion plan and boost our competitiveness for the future. </h4>

<h4>Professor Bundhit Eua-arporn, Ph.D., President of Chulalongkorn University, says the COVID-19 pandemic and the deteriorating air quality make air filtration technologies a necessity for the new-normal way of life. Fully realizing its significance, Chulalongkorn University intends to contribute to the health security of the Thai people and has collaborated with private-sector partners in the design and development of the &ldquo;CUre AIR SURE&rdquo; respirator mask, an innovative filtration equipment to protect wearers against particulate matter and infectious particles.</h4>

<h4>He adds that SCGP as well as organizations, such as the Division of Innovation Industrial Technology Development, the Department of Industrial Promotion, and the Plastics Institute of Thailand, have lent their support. This transaction expands on the entire range of production, supply chain and packaging development from upstream to downstream in response to an expanding ASEAN market. Revenue recognition begins in August this year.</h4>

<h4 style="text-align:justify">The increased revenue from sales was the result of rising demands for packaging products and increased exports in ASEAN of such products as consumer goods, food, and frozen food, as well as economic recoveries from the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, Europe and China. While increased energy costs and shortages of freight containers exert pressure on performance, the Company continues to improve its cost management and operations to enhance competitiveness.</h4>

<h4 style="text-align:justify">At the same time, the Company has been able to earn an increase in revenue through maintaining its leadership as an integrated packaging solutions provider in ASEAN and its planned expansion through merger and partnership (M&amp;P) with Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company (SOVI) of Vietnam and investment in Go-Pak UK Limited to enable expansion in other regions. Past endeavors to increase capacity include increasing production of paper packaging in Indonesia as well as set up production of performance and polymer packaging products in Thailand. </h4>

<h4 style="text-align:justify">&ldquo;SCGP has been able to maintain steady growth. This is the result of our planning a growth strategy encompassing expansion of our current business operations and M&amp;P both here and abroad. We expect that in 2021 we will invest no less than baht 20 billion to expand our customer base to cover multiple industries, and add diverse packaging portfolios as well as increase research and development of innovations, work processes and business models in order to come up with packaging solutions that respond to individual customer&rsquo;s needs. <h4 style="text-align:justify">On 27 July 2021, the Board of Directors of SCGP has approved a H1/2021 interim dividend payment of 0.25 Baht/Share (Baht 1,073 million), which is payable on August 25, 2021 (XD-date on August 9, 2021, and record date on August 10, 2021).</h4>

<h4 style="text-align:justify">Mr. Wichan adds: &ldquo;As for the industry outlook for the last half of the year we expect to receive positive impacts from the US and Europe&rsquo;s economic recovery. <h4 style="text-align:justify">However, for the latter half of the year, SCGP will try to sustain growth with projected sales for the entire year of no less than 100,000 million baht. The Company will operate according to its strategic plan with a project to boost production capacity, which is to increase production of paper foodservice packaging for an addition of 1,615 million pieces a year in Thailand and Vietnam, which is expected to begin commercial operation by the third quarter of this year. Moreover, the production capacity for paper packaging in the Philippines will be increased by 220,000 tons per year while production of flexible polymer packaging in Thailand is to be increased by 53 million square meters per year by the fourth quarter of the year.</h4>

SCGP is accelerating investment plans to grow its foodservice packaging operations in anticipation of consumer megatrend. Production of pressboard foodservice packaging and molded pulp packaging will see capacity boosted by an additional 1,838 million pieces a year. These projects aiming at expanding overseas markets require 631 million baht of investment.

Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP, reports that, according to the Company&rsquo;s assessment, demands for foodservice packaging continue to stay on the upward trend as a result of changing consumer lifestyles as take outs and home delivery through various apps have become a megatrend that will contribute positively to the growth of foodservice packaging businesses.The overall outlook for foodservice business in ASEAN between 2021 and 2024 is poised to grow by an average of 6-7% a year.

Investment for both projects is 631 million baht, which will boost production capacities in response to market expansion and growth in demands for foodservice packaging, especially in overseas markets.

&ldquo;After accomplishing our expansion plans, we expect our annual revenue to increase by 35% as the result of the increased production capacities from the current foodservice packaging operations in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam combined, which will contribute to our sustained growth in ASEAN and beyond.&rdquo; says Mr. Wichan.

SCGP continues to grow its packaging investment in Indonesia as it&rsquo;s poised to purchase 75% of the Intan Group, a major producer of corrugated containers with established bases in four strategic locations. The deal extends the Company&rsquo;s earlier success in packaging paper investment, boosting its potential and firming up its integrated packaging business operations.

Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP, reveals that the Company&rsquo;s strategy is to expand in the ASEAN region to boost its integrated packaging business by increasing regional market coverage. He says the expansion in the corrugated containers will be beneficial to SCGP&rsquo;s integrated packaging businesses encompassing both the operations as well as its aim to expand customer base in the region.

With a population of more than 270 million, Indonesia is brimming with potentials. Since 2013 SCGP has launched a sustained growth strategy in Indonesia through five companies, including Fajar, DAP (a Fajar subsidiary), PTPM, INDOCORR and INDORIS. The assets include two corrugated containers manufacturing plants, a printing house for corrugated containers, and two packaging paper manufacturing plants. In 2020 the five firms generated 17,577 million Baht in sales in Indonesia, equivalent to 18.94% of SCGP&rsquo;s total sales.

Having invested in the five Indonesian companies, SCGP has become their partners in expanding businesses, exchanging expertise, and engaging in mutually beneficial activities, such as reducing financial costs, and increasing production efficiency. The SCGP CEO adds that the Company recently has expanded its investment portfolio in Indonesia. It has signed a share purchase agreement on May 10, 2021, to acquire 75% stake of PT Indonesia Dirtajaya Aneka Industri Box, PT Bahana Buana Box and PT Rapipack Asritama, collectively called the Intan Group. The deal was undertaken through TCG Solutions Pte. Ltd. in SCGP. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the middle of 2021.

Intan Group is one of Indonesia&rsquo;s manufacturers of corrugated containers. It operates in four strategically important areas, namely, Surabaya, Semarang, Bekasi, and Minahasa. Its customer base encompasses both multinational and domestic producers of food and beverages and consumer goods. In 2020 Intan Group generated revenues of 1,329 billion rupiahs (approximately 92 million US dollars or 3,057 million Baht).

This round of investment in Indonesia is aimed at responding to anticipated growth in the ASEAN region as well as strengthen the Company&rsquo;s ability to provide a larger variety of products. It will promote a symbiotic relationship between SCGP and the companies in which it has invested.

SCGP continues to show solid growth following its debut in the stock market, posting sales revenue in Q1 of 2021 of Baht 27,253 million, up 12% from the same quarter last year, clearly manifesting the potential of the company&rsquo;s business model focusing on an expansion of its regional operations, development of packaging solutions for consumer goods, rapid adaptation and ASEAN&rsquo;s gradual economic recovery.

Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP, reports that the Company has been able to sustain a steady pace of growth following its registration in the Stock Exchange of Thailand in October last year.

In the first quarter of 2021, it posted a sales revenue of Baht 27,253 million, a 12% increase over the same quarter of last year, resulting in a profit for the period of Baht 2,135 million, a 23% increase over the same period. Its EBITDA (Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization excluded dividend from associates&nbsp; and included FX gain/loss from loans from Q1/2019 onward), meanwhile, stands at Baht 5,267 million, strengthening by 42% from the level achieved last year.

The increase in sales revenue stems from ASEAN consumer demand growth, regional paper price improvement, and the positioning of business model to focus on the expansion of downstream packaging business in ASEAN and customer base to cover diversified industries, particularly those dealing with consumer lifestyle goods such as food and beverages and health products, which are seeing increasing growth because they are essential goods for everyday life. Consumer goods packaging represents 70% of revenue from sales of Intergrated Packaging Chain in Q1 while that for E-commerce continues to grow steadily as a result of changing consumer lifestyles and the COVID-19 infection outbreaks.

At the same time, SCGP has continued to advance its investment strategy, encompassing production capacity expansions and merger and partnership (M&amp;P) deals. Since the end of 2020, the Company has expanded its integrated packaging business which includes: (1) an increase of manufacturing capacity at a plant operated by Fajar of Indonesia to produce packaging paper by an additional 400,000 tons a year; (2) an increased production capacity of high-performance and polymer packaging by 347 million pieces a year by Visy Packaging (Thailand) Ltd.; (3) M&amp;P with Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company (SOVI) of Vietnam to expand customer base in food and beverages and consumer goods industries; (4) M&amp;P with Go-Pak UK Limited to expand food packaging markets in various regions in response to the rise of megatrends.

Furthermore, the Company puts emphasis on synergy among various production bases for knowledge sharing&nbsp;in product development and innovations, production efficiency enhancement, energy cost management, as well as risk management of raw material costs through recycling stations and business partners. These efforts have made it possible to overcome the recent shortages of containers for shipping of goods.

&ldquo;The years 2020 and 2021 are trying times when all businesses face challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic,&rdquo; says Mr.Wichan. &ldquo;Nevertheless, SCGP is committed to achieving strong growth. The Company is also in the process of expanding its operations, including increasing production capacity of paper packaging in the Philippines by 220,000 tons a year and of flexible packaging in Thailand by 53 million square meters a year. Both projects are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Meanwhile, the Company&rsquo;s signing of the contract to acquire 70% of shares of Duy Tan Plastics Manufacturing Corporation (Duy Tan) of Vietnam to expand its rigid plastic packaging is expected to be completed in the middle of 2021.

Aiming to Install 220 Drop Points in Every Lotus Branch All Over the Country

In the new normal in which shopping online becomes a lifestyle, a number of online-shopping goods are sent out to customers daily.&nbsp; After delivery, many used paper boxes were left as garbage. Although some consumers are environmentally concerned and realize how important it is to recycle the &nbsp;boxes to maximize the use of materials, there are not many drop points for this purpose and the available ones are not at the convenient locations. In the end, those boxes were disposed with other wastes.

To tackle the problem, SCGP, represented by Mr. Mr. Jirasak Kaewubol Director - Recycling Business, joins hands with Lotus led by Mrs. Salinla Seehaphan, Corporate Affairs Director, in the project to install a drop point at every branch of Lotus in Thailand. The boxes will then be recycled and processed into the new ones. We carry on the consumer&rsquo;s good intention and jointly build a sustainable waste management system in accordance with the Circular Economy principles.

SCGP is expanding Visy Packaging&rsquo;s production capacity of high Performance and Polymer Packaging by 15-20% or more than 347 million pieces a year in response to increasing demands in Thailand and abroad. Full operation is expected later this year.

Mr. Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, SCGP, reveals that the Company is in the process of ratcheting up production capacity of Performance and Polymer Packaging (PPP) of Visy Packaging (Thailand) Limited or Visy to meet increasing demands for packaging in Thailand and abroad.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Anticipating that increasing demands will spur future growth, the Company is investing Baht 510 million , a new production line #7 including related automatic warehouse is currently under construction.&nbsp; Visy&rsquo;s capacity will increase by 347 million pieces or 15-20%, depending upon the product mix at any given period. Currently the machine has commercially started up while the new automated warehouse is expected to complete at the end of 2021.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Visy is 80% owned by SCGP Rigid Plastics Co., Ltd., which is a 100%-owned subsidiary of SCGP. The acquisition of Visy shares was completed in August 2019 as a Merger and Partnership (M&amp;P) subsidiary, which has continued to operate at full capacity since.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Visy Thailand is Asia&rsquo;s leading producer of thermoformed barrier food packaging and related technology such as high-quality fruit cups, pet food and human food trays, jars, etc. by serving established global brand owners that require high quality packaging for food preservation, light weight, shelf-life extension, and recyclable. Majority of its sales revenue in 2020 were direct and indirect exports to developed markets, for example the United States and European markets. Since the consolidation, Visy Thailand has been operating at its full capacity producing 1,750 million pieces a year, supported by consumers trends such as higher middle-class income, smaller households, and convenience and healthier lifestyle. Its products can also be used as an alternative packaging for aluminum, tin cans and glass jar. 

Furthermore, Visy&rsquo;s products have been used as replacements for other packaging products and thus become viable alternative packaging products for consumers, leading to increased uses.
